Thierry Pauwels

Thierry Pauwels (b. 1957) is a Belgian astronomer from the Royal Observatory of Belgium.[1][2] Between 1996 and 2008 he discovered 96 minor planets and co-discovered 9.[3] This makes him one of the top 100 minor planet discoverers.[3]

The asteroid 12761 Pauwels was named after him in 1993.[2]
